he just knows he can't be around emil right now. not before he's sorted himself out, put himself back in order. emil has this wonderful, terrible way of trying to help that works alarmingly well half of the time and fails spectacularly the other half, and lalli doesn't quite have it in him to risk the latter until after his mind and body are both quite a bit more tired and still than they are right now. ❱
( It's a smart bet to hedge, in all honesty. Emil looks at the message, stopping in the middle of sketching woodworking ideas to go over the six simple words a few times. In all honesty, he doesn't know what to do in this situation. Sometimes it's useful to think about what he'd do if he were in a particular position, but even that is unfathomable. What he'd need if someone like...say Klaus just magically vanished, he wouldn't know. Time, space, a shoulder to lean on. All of those things? )

For now, it's easier to focus his uncertainty and internal frustration on trying to figure out how to build a bed if Lalli doesn't immediately require his presence, and not why or how Onni could vanish into thin air. )
